In this video, we have Alex Shahen, Installation Manager here at DiGiorgi Roofing & Siding answering various questions from customers and residents throughout Connecticut.

In this video, Janet from Wolcott Connecticut asks, “My roof is still hot. Why is my ridge vent not working?” Alex explains the components needed for a balanced attack and what is necessary to keep your attic cool in addition to a ridge vent.

What is a “Ridge Vent”

What is a ridge vent?  As Wikipedia explains, “A ridge vent is a type of vent installed at the peak of a sloped roof which allows warm, humid air to escape a building’s attic. Ridge vents are most common on shingled residential buildings.”

If you have a question or for more information on ridge vents and how to make it work as effective as possible, please contact us at DiGiorgi Roofing & Siding at our website www.digiorgiinc.com and your question might be next on our Q&A video series!
